This is the age of communication. This is age of communication because we have almost achieved everything we needed. What we need now is to make the things we already have to work in sync with each other. For that reason, everything should be able to communicate with everything. That is why we have a global language – English, and now we have a global platform – Internet. It is a mistake to think of internet another computing platform, niche or industry; it is rather a form of media, which is now termed as new media. It will take atleast another 100 years for new media to be old, so for us, there is a lot of scope.

Internet has been around a while now, and has matured on the basic level. Now we have a website for almost everything and information can be found out about anything on internet. This was primary version of Web. Now it is Web 2.0, the age of post-pc devices. We have already started to use OS and processors in various electronic devices, as it matures, we will find ways to syncronize them on a more advance level. A time will come when washing machines and refrigerators will have internet connection too; IP TV is just a beginning. All of these things add to scope of internet. Though automation is eating up most of manual labour and human jobs, this level of internet’s involvement in daily life will ensure more and more resources to sustain and support such technologies and services. And bright minds know very well how to convert this work to silver.

It’s funny that most people still think that earning online means filling surveys and clicking advertisements. Internet has become a marketplace where anything valuable can be sold, be it solid or abstract. There are just too many ways to make some really good income using internet.

Real Business. You can find real world jobs for yourself by finding clients online. Such kind of jobs can be anything from copywriting articles to editing video files to writing essays to teaching maths. Websites like TutorVista and GetaFreelancer are best hubs for finding such kind of jobs.

Online Services. Providing services online is one of the simplest way of generating revenue. You can either do the labour of compiling all the resources of a particular niche on one place and become the niche leader, or may be clever enough to write a small but useful script like Onetwofiver and get loads of traffic without making any extra effort. Thinking intelligent and thinking often might make you a millionaire.

Media. Internet is just another media, like TV or Radio. Make yourself a superstar by showing your creativity on Youtube or Podcasts. And you must be knowing superstars do earn a lot, isn’t it?

Post-PC Devices. Any device which use internet or operating system is called a post-pc device. Cell phones, internet tablets, many new digital cameras, ipods etc are all post-pc devices. While marketing intervention in post-pc devices is still in its infancy period, it is actually the next big thing. Lifestreaming projects are already in the pipeline by industry leaders like Google, Microsoft, Yahoo and Nokia. Any big or small contribution in growth of post-pc devices can help build a big following and hence is very much monetizable. Ifonz is one such example.

Okay, the new year is here, and I hope it is a happy one. It didn’t start very smoothly for me though. My Facebook was disabled few days back, I would have preferred to lose my Omnia instead. And then all these web projects are taking a toll on me already. Besides that I am set to leave home but hasn’t yet found anywhere to set my ass safe. Brokers tell its too cheap and friends tell its too costly, noone tells a specific amount. Then my phone’s outgoing is blocked too. I know, I didn’t pay the bills for last two months but then the gallery is damn too far.

But I found myself to be happier this year than all of the previous ones. I was luckily able to export the most important contact I wanted from Facebook :D . I don’t really care about the Splitsvilla girls. I found couple of cool features in my Omnia cam, lets leave that bragging for another post. Lastly, I will be moving out of family home, to be all on my own, for once and for all. This alone is too big a reason for me to be happy, I don’t mind sleeping on the railway platforms.

And yea.. couple of New Year Resolutions:

  1. I wont change this blog theme for this complete year
  2. I will do personal blogging everyday
  3. I will click and post more pictures than ever, however ugly I look in the photos
  4. I will spend lesser and save more to prevent Income Tax
  5. I will make friends for other than business purposes
  6. I will not will chew my nails lesser
  7. I will try not to speak in technical jargons in casual conversations
  8. I will not buy all jeans of same colors
  9. I will stop staring at pretty girls in my office
  10. I will bath daily

Disclaimer: Don’t ask me about any of the things written above, or I will just say that I wrote it for the sake of being funny, while I REALLY mean all of it.
